Meghan Trainor’s hit song “All About That Bass” has constantly landed on the number 1 spot in USA for the past weeks now. The 20-year-old singer grew up on an island of Nantucket in the state of Massachusetts, which is also the hometown of Hollywood executive Tom Rothman. She has dreamt since being a kid of establishing a career in music.

Despite what anyone had told her at the time, she had always imagined that she had the talent to make it big.

She released her first set of tracks through the help of Epic Records. She sang for LA Reid with her ukulele, the folks loved her and the deal was sealed.

The first song that she wrote was for her uncle and aunt who got married when she was just a kid. The song title was Give me a Chance, which is about his brother’s best friend.

Trainor knew she could do big in music industry when she got a publishing deal. She was only 16 years old when her parents pushed her to join several songs writing gig. It all paid out quite well.
