Chris Cornell Schedules a Solo Tour
Chris Cornell, front man of Soundgarden and Audioslave, announced that he will go on an acoustic tour in support of his solo album that debuts on September 18th. The album, Higher Truth, is Cornell’s first solo stint since 2009.Rolling Stone reports that Cornell will start a solo tour on September 20th, and that it will end November 2nd. Cornell has one date performing with Soundgarden in July, but then there is nothing on the books until his own solo tour. He plays 29 shows in 44 days that starts in Los Angeles, winds its way to the east coast, and ends in Austin, Texas. The last show is being played for the iconic music program Austin City Limits, which has showcased many of the world’s greatest and most profound musical talents. Cornell’s last solo effort, Scream, was not up to the standards that his fans expect of him. Hopefully, the new LP will stand heads and shoulders above his last solo effort, and his tour will be a great success.
